Goodness Mike, what I have read about him Juve, Real and Man u are looking at around £105m, it looks like he is the next Pele Cruyff, Maradona, Ronaldo, Messi and George Parris rolled into one.

{Ed002's Note - Just let me explain this Mike. There was West Ham interest in João Felix of Benfica and an enquiry was made after Thomas Hengen identified the player on behalf of David Moyes. The enquiry was first made after DM had left and MP had joined and confirmed he would be interested. This was in late June last year and Benfica explained he was not for sale (at least whilst they worked on a new contract). Subsequently Felix verbally agreed a new deal and a €120M termination clause included - and that priced him, far far outside of what West Ham can afford as it would need to be paid in cash. Currently they are looking at a way to further increase the termination clause, which would need to be paid in cash, to a much higher figure - but they are constrained from doing so by an FFP issue. The enquiries were not limited to WHU but several other sides also approached his agent and the club. There has been nothing yesterday, or today, or recently from West Ham - it was last summer. Right now there is interest in him from a number of sides - five have been named by Cordeiro.

So try not to mislead the supporters - at least if you are going search the site where on August 1 you shared about João Felix "bid going in for 3M for him".}

I for one appreciate both your posts.
Ironmike i am sure says what he hears and I am fine with that, it does not have to be considered misleading, I always take every rumour with a pinch of salt, wherever it comes from. There is every chance this (like a lot of paper rumours) came from a comment that may have actually referred to something from last year, and was not recent. However it may not have been passed to Mike with these specific and how i'm interprets what he hears is his own.
However, I especially appreciate Ed002's comments afterwards that add more context to things, and really value this. The whole point of a rumours board is that people can comment if they know something different about a situation.
No need for all the back and forth guys, us readers just appreciate the info you both provide.

As with Nickinho, with one caveat, the loss of Mike led to 3/ 4 days without any *rumours* towards the end of the transfer window - not a good idea if this site is to work/ gain more followers.
I don't have time to scroll through numerous sites just to get my fix so glad Mike gets his info, wherever it comes from. I wait for eds confirmation though before getting my hopes up.

Ironmike. Don’t get so antagonised by things. One cannot criticise ed002 for his comments when yours are just as bad right? We want to see rumours posted and we want to see rumours questioned and we all need to take it on the chin when we have been pulled up about an error we have made. As an editor on this site, I believe ed002 has the right to advise, clarify and even question certain posts. Otherwise what’s his role on this site?
