SKY TV winding up a lot of our people, don't know wether this is just lack of knowledge on there part, or they are making things up as they go along. 50% of WH stuff complete rubbish! Apparently on some radio programme they had Drinkwater turning up for a medical with us at 6 pm whereas he had said NO to WH at 10 am TAKE sky with just a little pinch of salt. IRONMIKE.

Thanks Mike.
Personally i wasn't too disappointed with our Jan window ins and outs, it was the DRAMA and speculation that pissed me off, and i am sure affected some players who want out eventually too. I understand the position WHU are in with no wage budget available for additional players, and no cash available for transfer fees. PLUS, look at which teams DID do something, they were all relegation candidates desperate for a boost. We are not in that position. Bournemouth are the only exception, but they have had a manager there for YEARS slowly building his squad, and as a result they only ever really need to look at 1-2 players. We on the other hand have 6 players MP wants rid of in order to build his squad. Best done in summer when more funds are available.
The ONLY way we would have gotten anyone decent in Jan was if Arnie was sold. Selling Chica, Perez or Carroll would free up salary but not the cash to sign a decent replacement (selling all 3 wouldn't even get us the cash to sign Solanke) . Masuaku and Obiang also would not raise sufficient funds to replace themselves.
We also have to bare in mind we have SO MANY players injured who may not return to the same level, which would mean they would potentially need replacing in summer. I am sure MP and Husillos are looking long term, and these injured players are a part of that decision process. Glad we didn't go crazy in Jan when we don't NEED to do it now.
Important we bring our injured players back slowly and ensure they are fully recovered before throwing them in for 90 mins.

We should be safe so kid gloves with Manu until we’re sure he’s fully fit.

What good would releasing him do? We would have to pay his contract out so no saving.
