What are WH looking for as in transfer for Oxford Mike?

As it seems now we could have around £60m plus incoming, obviously Shelvy is a target but Mike do you know what other areas they may be looking at?

We would need a striker but I don't think there's any need to pay over the odds in this window as teams do as were comfortable in the league, the only question for me is if MP was seriously thinking about Europe, if 2 top 6 sides reach the FA cup final than I think Europe goes down to 7th place, which is very much achievable now.

Yes that’s achievable, but that will demand a stronger squad, as we have all learnt both ourselves and watching the demise of others, so many positions come under the spotlight. We need rid of five or so, get five decent players in, and it would be fair to say then we would have a squad of interchangeables, , and because of the financial strain involved, this summer players coming to the end of their contracts elsewhere will be of particular interest. Europa would not be too bad, as it offers a potential route to CL football now, which is achievable via the league.
Before next season I expect we will move on: Carroll, Perez, Masuaku, Oxford, Obiang, Arnie and Adrian.
Get in ONE top striker with technical ability and strength to replace Arnie. Promote Xande and consider Antonio as a striker (or replace him) . Looks like MP is playing one top striker and a no.10 who can also play deeper like Nasri did vs Arsenal. Any one of Nasri, JW, Yarm or Anderson can play no.10 with Snod, Diang, Holl and Browne as backups on wing.
A CM who can pass the ball and has the pace/ physique and attitude to cover ground and be combative in midfield to play with Rice and take over from Nobes.
An up and coming decent left back to compete with Cress, same as we have with Fredricks.
A CB who is happy to be a backup to the 3 we have now (not including Reid)
Promote Trott or get a backup keeper in
Hope to GOD that our injured players Lanzini, Wilshere, Yarmolenko, Sanchez and Fredricks all come back to full fitness.
This is jut the bare min, and represents 3 massive wages off our bill. Only a striker and top CM would require big salaries, so the rest can be put on squad players or new contracts.
After this, the next stage is to look at Reid, Zaba, Nobes and Chica.

Thinking about it, if Arnie goes and we don’t make a Jan striker signing, MP/ Husillos have plenty off time to sort out a full squad revamp in the summer with a view to making a serious top six attempt next season.

If that’s the case would it be better to finish 8th this season and avoid the extra games a 7th place backdoor European slot would generate?

OXFORD, what are WH waiting for? A reasonable offer that’s what? All talk no money. IRONMIKE.

Nah, noble deserves to finish his time at west ham, do his badges etc. Not on a massive salary and a decent back up. Rest I agree with Nickinho.
