Know what your saying ed but the same thing was said about Anderson. Nothing wrong with showing ambition although I doubt he would come as bigger clubs after him, stranger things have happened.

I don’t think we’d need to necessarily buy someone for a lot of money to replay Arnie. Just because a player worth x amount leaves doesn’t mean you can then only replace them with a player if similar value.

Scout some decent players and take a punt on someone under 20 million and invest the rest by strengthening other areas of the squad. Or, just save it for a rainy day.

I wouldn’t have a clue who to get as I don’t know enough as to who is good, available or would suit the system.

I wouldn’t be adverse to taking a punt on someone as we have enough goals in and around the squad as long as we tighten up at the back.

I agree, I don’t necesserily think we’d need to spend any money we received for Arnautovic on a direct replacement however the news that Balbuena is likely to be out for a few months concerns me as Ogbonna just doesn’t fill me with complete confidence. David Luiz is someone I’d like to see us look at or even Cahill just to see this season out. Both would help in developing Diop who continues to look quality. We continue to improve game on game and the future, compared to this time last year, looks fantastic! Loftus-Cheek would be the signing that I’d love to see us get .

I agree, he is not a player who will score 20+ league goals in a season for us. He would get 19 if he carried on at the same rate he is now, Chica's goals per minute this season in the PL is not far off Arnie's and he had glandular fever this season! just his salary is a bit much. With Nasri adding technical ability up front (impressed with him again today) and Lanzini, Wilshere and Yarolenko all to come back we will provide the chances for anyone.
Last season we couldn't do without Arnie because of the football we played, he was our only hope. The team MP is building is different.
I am sure MP could find a player who is younger and will contribute the same goals with the money he will get from Arnie's sale. Hopefully someone who doesn't come with the ego, drama, and attitude as well.
