David Sullivan

"We are looking, long-term, for a 20-goal-a-season striker, " he said.

"There's a possibility that a striker will come in on loan, with the option to buy, within the next seven days. He's an overseas striker.

"If I told you, you wouldn't believe it. I can't tell you which league because then you'll know exactly who it is.

"We are signing from a very strange league. But he has played in higher leagues. "

Any ideas?
I'd say it can't be Burak ilmaz because he has only ever played in Turkey. Players I can think of playing in a "strange league".

Demba Ba plays in China
Moussa Sow plays in the UAE
Jo plays in the UAE (former Man City forward)
Robinho plays in China
Andre-Pierre Gignac plays in Mexico

could it be one of those players?

i got to be honest die 4 I wouldn't want any of those players don't think any of them really give us a good upgrade and they are all money chasers

what about pato aswell?

I'd love for it to be Hulk! - Although I can't see him being affordable.

A.Pato perhaps? - currently playing in Brazil and former AC Milan player?

gignac we've looked at before but i'd be apprehensive about this one as he shown not much ambition to take the money and go play in mexico but he does tick the boxes of what sullivan says. but then (still dreaming) so does tevez one last hurrah for the boleyn?

Plato would be good but ain't Chelsea eyeing him up.

My first thought was Hulk. But what I don't understand is where we'll be getting the money for this myster strikers wages?

Been told from an extremely reliable source that it is Martyn Waghorn from Glasgow Rangers for £1.4 million and young jaanai Gordon going to Rangers.

I'm sure we could match RVP's £47m salary if we released Zarate 😉.

waghorn ain't the striker sullivan is talking about blowingbubbles doesn't fit in at all with what he described there.

19 Jan 2016 20:27:39
he said it would be an overseas player waghorn isnt.

Tevez all day.

Maybe its a long time seeing the Hammers do well and promise of more and then not happening that makes me think how can this go not so well. My first thought is the rumours about Reece Oxford to Man City come about and in return we get some cash and the City group loan us David Villa for the MLS off season. Hopefully I'm wrong, at least on the first part, but David Villa is an option that fits the description.

He is to old. I would like to think it's one of the following

Doumbia
Tevez
Hulk

Thinking about a really pacy striker

Sow
Babacar.

19 Jan 2016 21:44:45
not sure about that aussie there's definatly interest in oxford but villa is 34 and sullivan said it was a loan with an option to buy can't really see how signing a 34 year old would fit in to thier transfer policy of signing younger players.

my heart would love to think it would be tevez but my head tells me pato or gignac ( even though he's 31)

whoever it is though its going to be exciting and fun trying to guess!

You got to think tevez every hammer would love him bk or go for robinho could play out on wing as well so great addition with premier L experience. Also janazi could be an option still should have went for Austin 4 mil bargain.
